Wrestlecrate UK June 2022
Hello and welcome to the June 2022 Wrestlecrate from the UK. This crate each month includes at least 1 signed photo of a wrestling star or legend, a unique t-shirt design made exclusively for the crate and usually a pin badge with various other items included. This month we knew in advance we would get a special Scott Hall t-shirt made to honour his life and legacy with approval of his family as well a a Jon Moxley variant item (usually a DVD with a different designed sleeve) which is also unique to this crate.
Deadlock Pro Wrestling socks
Deadlock is a professional wrestling brand that have various apparel on their website for sale as well as various news and articles. Their website is well worth a visit if you are a wrestling fan at deadlockpw.com We can an exclusive paid of socks from their brand. In May 2022 from the Pro Wrestling Tee's crate (US) we got an amazing pair of Eddie Guerrero socks which are really thick and will be used in the winter, these Deadlock socks are more lightweight so perfect for summer and really comfy to wear. It genuinely is a good item to get and a great way to promote Deadlock's brand
Scott Hall t-shirt
This shirt was designed alongside the family of the late Scott Hall, quoting his famous lines from his WWE Hall Of Fame induction 'Hard work pays off, dreams come true. Bad times don't last but bad guys do' with the legend in his Razor Ramon persona leaning on a car. We saw the image in advance of purchasing the box and at the time it didn't seem all that but having now received it in the flesh, it does look a lot better. It's probably not something I will actually wear but is still a nice, unique item to own and very recognisable.
Dragon Suplex lapel pin
Compared to the Pro Wrestling Tee's crate, the Wrestlecrate pin's are usually more generic and not specific wrestler related (not all the time, last month there was a Kurt Angle exclusive pin) but there is always the chance of a variant pin and I have had some of these in the past. This month we don't get the variant but below is the Dragon Suplex pin, these pin's are also a big size and have some weight to them but does anyone actually wear them?
Best Of Jon Moxley in CZW vol. 2 dvd
Sadly this doesn't include a match listing but does promise matches with the likes of Nick Gage and Eddie Kingston. I haven't yet watched it to verify but this is volume 2 to go with volume 1 which was given out last year. If anyone isn't aware, Moxley does have a rich history with violent matches and rumours were he left the PG orientated WWE as Dean Ambrose to be able to have more extreme matches. While it's not to everyone's taste, there is something oddly compelling about them and nick Gage is the King Of The Death Match so having copies of their matches is only a good thing but definitely not one for children to see. The sleeve to the DVD is the variant to one previously released and artwork exclusive to this crate
Rockstar Pro Network free month
As is usual with the Wrestcrate boxes, there is a free month to get to see what's on offer with a specific brand and this month it's Rockstar Pro based in the US with over 760 hours of wrestling to watch. With these subscriptions and getting a free month, I find it's always good to sign up and have a look, there's usually a few good things you find on there and spend a few hours watching content I haven't seen before.....then if I am honest, I cancel the subscription before getting charged.
Botchamania earplugs
While I personally don't follow Botchamania all that much, I know they do a lot of podcasts and articles related to wrestling and seems a group of friends getting to share their views on events (which seems to be my dream job)., these ear plugs seem such a random item yet oddly cool due to the 'You talk too much!' quote on the front of the packaging but overall they aren't identifiable as wrestling merchandise.
Warhoruse autograph
Usually with Wrestlecrate, they announce quite early of a main autograph but interestingly they never said a word at all for this crate yet instead of one we get two!! First we get Warhorse who formed a successful tag team with Danhausen (called Warhausen) and was ranked in the top 100 of PWI's top 500 wrestlers of last year. Anyone that has seen Warhorse will certainly remember him and hopefully he gets signed by a big promotion soon to showcase his skills.
Karrion/Killer Kross autograph
It was only very recently that Karrion (or Killer) Kross was WWE's NXT champion before his odd promotion to the main roster as some kind of Roman gladiator style character (interestingly, Nikki Cross became Nikki A.S.H. so there wasn't confusion over the surnames just prior to him joining the main roster). This is a great companion piece to his wife, Scarlett Bordeaux, who we got a signed item from a few months ago. He is still someone with a lot of potential after leaving WWE who can accomplish a lot before all is said and done. This is a great item and a nice surprise as it wasn't advertised in advance.
Overall
Getting two autographs is always going to score high and with them being Warhorse and Killer Kross, this is a great box before even mentioning the Scott Hall t-shirt, Jon Moxley DVD or the other items. This month is a great box full of genuine surprises throughout. The Wrestecrate autographs are really high quality with this year having the likes of Scott Steiner, Kevin Nash and Jeff Hardy already and promising more big names over the rest of 2022 including Bret Hart who we get next month so jump on the website and get your's before 12th July.
